If something does break the permanent smile on the face of Thalía it is the distance she live from her country.
After four years without making public appearances in Mexico, singer and actress said Wednesday that the reception of supporters at the airport yesterday (April 20, 2010) and the affection she has felt since then is like a dream that makes her feel extremely happy, as a prodigal daughter who rebels but returns home for good.
The separation, she said, has a price.
“I have to emphasize that the only thing that took me away from my country maybe it was love. It was something I was reluctant, but when you find your partner, that (person) who is there for you through thick and thin, about its gambling”, she said at a small press conference to explain her absence from the stage and other public forums in the Aztec land.
“Every day I wake up and my mother, my sisters are not here, my country and that hurts,” she said without being able to keep her voice broke and she burst into tears. “But we wanted to stick it out,” she said giving encouragement.
Thus interrupted rumors that the reason was insecurity that made him settle in New York in 2003 after her two sisters were abducted. Years later she confessed that agreed to pay the ransom they demanded to release them alive, but never reported the figure.
Thalía said that insecurity and the fight against drug trafficking “of course it is a very big”.
“It’s very sad what is happening in the north (of the country) and is a very sensitive issue … is (doing) something step by step,” said the interpreter of Amor a la Mexicana in the meeting with a handful means refraining from comment on whether the government’s strategy has paid off or is correct.
The singer in Mexico promoting his latest album, Front Row, which was recorded live last year in Coral Gables, Florida, in a small auditorium.
On Wednesday executives from Sony Music label gave him several recognitions: double platinum and gold selling over 150,000 copies in Mexico, and a certificate of 300,000 copies sold internationally.
Thalía reacted clutching at her face, shouted “Wow!” several times and allowed to photograph, and then make it their own camera and record the photographers who asked her a smile.
Se acknowledged that all her previous albums recorded in order to win prizes and it, however, it was to “connect with people,” leaving it to flow at their own pace. The response has been more than I ever imagined.
The star of telenovelas like María Mercedes and María la del barrio said she took the occasion to meet with producers and melodramas like Salvador Mejía and Nicandro Diaz but has not yet decided to join any particular project.
Another proposal is to star in a chapter assesses “very interesting” series Mujeres asesinas.
“I tease and I leave,” she said winking and smiling slyly unconfirmed whether to accept or not.
Although it has not ruled out a film shoot said she has not yet reached a sufficiently attractive offer to “leave for several months” and spending time on that.
She also gives way to an autobiography that could launch in September 2011 with the support of the editorial Santillana.
On her upcoming shows in Mexico she s negotiating with executives who ask presented at the National Auditorium, with capacity for 10,000 people, while she prefers to follow the line of intimate encounters, as reflected on the new album.
Meanwhile, working with various social organizations like the Robin Hood Foundation, which raises money for education to benefit Latino families in the United States and the March of Dimes, which seeks to educate women to have healthy pregnancies.
She said that after two years of taking antibiotics for Lyme disease that affected her and made her rethink her life, could create a foundation to help prevent its spread.
