Thalía at Madonna’s Concert

Last night the singer attended, along with Emilio Estefan, to see the Queen of Pop.

The Mexican singer and actress Thalía and her friend music producer Emilio Estefan went last night to the Dolphin Stadium in Miami Florida, to enjoy the concert that Madonna gave.

Thalía and Emilio were in the VIP area of the enclosure, and at the end of the show they went to the backstage area to greet the Queen of Pop.

Madonna will arrive Friday in the evening or Saturday morning in Mexico, to appear this weekend at the Foro del Sol in Mexico City with her successful Sticky and Sweet Tour.

Tommy Mottola invests in Every Baby

Music mogul Tommy Mottola has a new business adviser - his 14-month-old daughter Sabrina.

The former Sony Music boss and wife, Mexican pop star Thalía, welcomed their little girl last October (07), and she’s already showing business savvy.

Mottola acquired a majority stake in an infant education and entertainment company called Every Baby - after watching his little Sabrina’s reaction to one of its videos.

Mottola tells the New York Post, “She was jumping up and down and mimicking the video, and she never did that before with anything else we showed her. As soon as I saw that, I called (the owners) and asked for a meeting.”

Company president Stephen Gass adds of the venture, “We were looking for additional cash, as well as brainpower, to take us from a boutique brand to a mass-market household-entertainment franchise.”

A source tells the newspaper Mottola invested $2 million (GBP1.3 million) in the project and plans to raise an additional $25 million (GBP16.7 million), giving him a 50 per cent stake in the company.

Mottola Sells New York estate for $15 Million

Music mogul Tommy Mottola and his pop singer wife Thalía have reportedly sold their sprawling upstate New York home for $15 million (GBP10.1 million).

According to the New York Post, the 12-acre home, located in the city’s outskirts of Westchester, was completed in 2006.

The 15-room residence in North Salem briefly went on the market that year for $21 million (GBP14.2 million).

It was re-listed one year later with a final asking price of just below $18 million (GBP12.1 million).
The house includes five bedrooms, a gym, fireplaces, and views overlooking the Hudson Valley.

Thalía dumps EMI, teams up with Robbie Williams

Sorry for redundancy of recently news about Thalía leaving EMI and collaborating with Robbie Williams. Anyway.

Mexican pop star Thalía is to relaunch her career on husband Tommy Mottola’s Casablanca Records label with a Robbie Williams duet. The singer has dropped EMI Music, her label for the past 10 years, and plans to release a new English-language album. Thalía recorded 12 albums and sold nearly 20 million copies as an artist at EMI.
